Im a big fan of kaws work. I really love it, so i will be peeping this out!!

KAWS gets set for a trip across the country with his first solo show in Los Angeles, opening up February 21st, 2009. Entitled “The Long Way Home”, the Brooklyn-based artist showcases his trademark pop culture style in the form of new paintings and sculptural work referencing iconic influences with his brand of clever reinterpretations. A large life-size Chum figure will also be making an appearance during the shows opening at the Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles.

This Week……..

Has been a blur for me.

WE got a new president (my thoughts on this in another post)

I think i sold my car (1 down 1 more to go)

Dentist again, my tooth hurts, so poppin pain killers (no addictions)

Wanting it to rain while im driving so i can see if the wipers work

Might have a roomate by end of summer. Kinda low key excited since its fam and i just want to move to a new spot.

Mad shoots this weekend, need to pull an all nighter to catch up on editing! Yikes!

The Weekend, Boring then Busy

This weekend was coo. I had 2 major shoots i been stressing about. Well the saturday shoot was moved to Sunday so i had 2 shoots on Sunday. Saturday was a bum ass day. I didnt do a damn thing! But grocery shop, how domestic is that! Maybe next time daisy flower will help me out.

Sunday was interesting. started out a pain in the ass due to my stubborness, ended chill due to my sis and kuzzo.

Had 2 shoots, drove my hoopty knowing it was giving me problems and it didnt fail to let me know im a dumb ass. So between shoots i had a stressful drive back to the pad to get the new whip.

(side note). Let me say i did low key question buying a new car in short notice, but my gut feeling told me the hoopty was going to be a pain and i just rode the wheels off it. And man now i have no doubt in my mind i made a stellar move!! Glad i went and made an educated purchase.

Anywayz finished the 2nd shoot, got home. Saw the highlights of Cardinals smash on punk ass Eagles!! haha!! Then started watching the Steelers get in some Raven ass. Got a call from my Sis to come to the standard, Threw on some threads and mashed downtown.

My Top Female Hip Hop Albums…

Now i know theres not many females who release hip hop albums anymore. And some of my old school homies might debate this since theres no roxanne shante, or queen latifah on this, or mc lyte. But im going on female albums i have listend to thoroughly in my hip hop life.

1. Rah Digga – Dirty Harriet

2. Lauryn Hill – Miseducation of Layrn Hill

6. Missy – Super Dupa Fly

3. Foxy Brown – ill na na

4. Lil Kim – Hardcore

5. Boss – Born Gangsta (i think thats the title she only had one album)

I based this on complete albums. I feel all of these albums had 3,4 or more singles on them. And they were one of a kind. Better than or as good as some of the biggest albums in hip-hop during there era.

Delux Hollywood

So today my friend Angel showed me the new sight for Delux (www.bardelux.com). She hit me up a few weeks back to come and take pictures for the web site and try something new. I love Angel, she has been an awesome friend and supporter of my work. Meaning she gets me paid jobs!! And has had my back as a friend, but if i keep going i will have to write a whole post just for her.

Anyways she just finished the Delux website, (she also designed the signage for the spot, the menus, and some other stuff, and she models..lol) its a new hollywood hot spot (A-list, not 18 and up hoochie club) on Cahuenga a few spots down from Kitchen 24, and a block down from the new Alife store. She designs for SPACE CRAFT, which designed Delux, Kitchen 24 and many other Top Hollywood restuarants and lounges.

Back To Normal

So its monday, all the hype of holidays and shit is over. Thank GOD!! Im over it before it even begins. Maybe this year i will get into the holidays, i will make that an early new years resolution. Another one is to blog more. Im trying to improve my companies blog, so that means i have to improve all 3 of my blogs. I can never improve one area of my life, im learning i have to make a global adjustment. So with that said alot of things will change. Im excited, some others might not be, but i dont really care.

Yes i might be a little more selfish to some now. But those who know me will be happy. Because it’s just me focusing on the important things in life now. But talk is cheap so im looking foward to getting back to work.

Didnt do crap this weekend. Got to kick it with Emi for the first time since 2007 and our bad experience with a evil mutual friend (which i just found out the other day her real name isnt what we thought it was, she is slick!!). We saw 7 pounds, and like gangstas we didnt shed a tear. Actually we were the only people cracking up at “Tell me a Story”..lol wtf! But good movie, alot to think bout. I also got to peep Marley and Me with Burberry, trust me i wouldnt go see that unless i was tricked into seeing it. I plead the 5th.

But i have to thank the few flakes. They made me realize how much i hate flakes and how i should hate myself for being a flake sometimes. So im working on that.

P.S.

I want the chargers to loose next weekend. I mean i want them to loose bad!! I CANT STAND THE CHARGERS!!! I want a Steelers vs Ravens AFC showdown and Cardinals vs Giants NFC showdown!! With a Cardinals vs Steelers Super Bowl. Lets Make it Happen!
